Our Day

Early Years Children

Early Years children (0 to school age) follow the EYFS – the government Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. This sounds complicated – in reality this means we PLAY!

Children have the opportunity to choose and take part in an enormous range of activities including – stories and rhymes, messy play, art and crafts, music and singing, construction, role play, gardening, outdoor play, baking, dressing up, sports, jigsaws and puzzles …

We also go out and about most days to a wide variety of places including – playgroups, singing groups, childrens centres, outdoor groups, local nature areas, libraries, parks, farms, soft play, garden centres, National Trust properties, museums and galleries ..

We are always busy!!

School-Age Children

I do daily drop-off to and collection from Leasowes Primary School on Porlock Avenue.

Before and after school the children have access to all the toys, activities and equipment that are available to the Early Years children.

They are also given the opportunity to engage in a variety of additional ‘projects’ eg. clay, woodwork, gardening.

They have individual/shared access to a WiiU games console once a week, using age-appropriate games, with parental permission.
